3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Garrett Whitlock was credited with his second win of the season Friday, as he threw the eighth and ninth innings against the Toronto Blue Jays. Whitlock allowed no runs on two hits and a walk and struck out three. Whitlock was forced to work out of a jam in this one, but he's been Boston's best reliever outside of closer Matt Barnes all season. With two wins, five holds, and one save in 18 appearances, Whitlock has been sneakily valuable in fantasy and should be considered in leagues that reward holds.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
