3 years agoThe New York Giants placed rookie running back Gary Brightwell (neck) and offensive tackle Matt Peart (knee) on Injured Reserve on Thursday. Offensive tackle Nate Solder was also activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Brightwell injured his neck in Week 15 and was unable to return last week. With just two games left in the season, the Giants are shutting him down. The 22-year-old sixth-rounder mostly played on special teams in his first season in the NFL. On offense, Brightwell played only 12 offensive snaps in parts of four games, catching his only target for six yards and carrying the ball one time for a four-yard gain.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
