3 years agoNew York Giants rookie running back Gary Brightwell has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Las Vegas, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic. Brightwell has logged just one rush all season, appearing primarily on special teams, but his absence means that Devontae Booker and Elijhaa Penny will see virtually all of the backfield volume Sunday. A sixth-round choice by New York out of the University of Arizona in the 2021 NFL draft, Brightwell holds virtually no fantasy value this season, especially once Saquon Barkley (ankle) returns to lead the Giants rushing attack. Brightwell's next chance to return comes in Week 11 vs. the Buccaneers.--Jesse Borek
