3 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez (rest) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Oakland Athletics. Sanchez is reportedly out of the lineup for rest, as he had "a tough physical game" Thursday and the Yankees arrived in the Bronx late Thursday night, per Lindsey Adler of The Athletic. Look for Sanchez, who has a .978 OPS with four homers in June, to return to the lineup for Saturday's contest. Kyle Higashioka will be behind the plate for New York and will bat eighth against Athletics' righty James Kaprielian Friday.--Tim Capurso
