4 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez extended his hitless streak to four games on Wednesday, with eight strikeouts over his first 12 at-bats. Contact has been an issue for Sanchez so far this year with a 33% swinging-strike rate coming into Wednesday’s game, and although frustrating, the 27-year-old hasn’t reported any injuries or reason for his early-season slump. Typically an elite fantasy catcher, Sanchez owns a career .841 OPS, and fantasy players should expect Sanchez to get his contact rate back under control and bounce back this season. There’s no telling how long that may take, though, so DFS players should consider avoiding Sanchez until he begins trending in the right direction.--Sam Chinitz
