Gavin Escobar Among Seven Players Released By Browns
7 years agoThe Cleveland Browns parted ways with seven players on Thursday. They terminated the contract of tight end Gavin Escobar and waived running back Kelvin Taylor, wide receivers Bug Howard and Larry Pinkard, tight end Matt Lengel, and defensive players Max Bullough and C.J. Smith. Of the seven players, Escobar is the best known. He started his career with the Dallas Cowboys as a high-upside prospect but was never able to break out and was billed as the successor to Jason Witten at one point.
