Gavin Lux Closer To Making 2020 Season Debut
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux entered the year as the prohibitive favorite to win the National League Rookie of the Year Award, but is yet to see time at the keystone. But per manager Dave Roberts, Lux is “getting closer” to appearing for the club, as he is taking live batting practice at the team’s alternate site. It’s apparent that the 22-year-old is the second baseman of the future for Los Angeles with the duo of Enrique Hernandez and Chris Taylor merely holding down the spot until he’s ready. Both would figure to take a step back in value once Lux is activated and enters the starting nine with frequency.
