Gavin Lux Hitting Ninth For Dodgers
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux is starting at the keystone and batting ninth on Opening Day on Friday against Colorado Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland. Utility man Chris Taylor is in left field and batting seventh, while Justin Turner is the designated hitter and is in at cleanup. Max Muncy's elbow appears to be just fine, as he's starting at third base and hitting fifth. Lux, 24, should see regular playing time for the Dodgers this year after they traded outfielder AJ Pollock in camp. He has only hit .233/.314/.368 with 12 home runs, 63 RBI and seven stolen bases in 144 major league games over three seasons, but there's plenty of room for improvement in fantasy and real life.
