Gavin Lux Placed On Injured List With Hamstring Strain
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Gavin Lux (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a left hamstring strain, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Lux suffered the injury while running out of the box on a groundout in the ninth inning of Sunday's game, and immediately exited the game with a trainer after he was seen grabbing at his hamstring. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers recalled outfielder Zach Reks from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Lux was slashing .227/.307/.349 with six homers, three steals, 37 RBI and 39 runs scored over 82 games. Chris Taylor is getting the start at shortstop on Monday with Lux out, and he could continue to see playing time there until Lux can return.
