Gavin Stone Enjoys Double-A Debut
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Gavin Stone thrived in his debut for Double-A Tulsa on Tuesday. Making his previous six starts for High-A Great Lakes, Stone didn't miss a beat in his promotion and fired five innings. He allowed five hits, zero runs, zero walks and struck out eight on the evening. A fifth-round selection in 2020, Stone has developed a three-pitch arsenal to go along with increased velocity during his time in the Dodgers system. Between High-A and Double-A, Stone is now 2-1 with a 1.20 ERA and 36 strikeouts to go along with six walks over seven starts. Stone's quickest way to the big leagues would likely be in a bullpen role at the moment, but managers in dynasty leagues should keep tabs on his progress as he rises through the system.
