Gavin Stone Impressive In Triple-A Debut
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodger top pitching prospect Gavin Stone went four hitless innings pitched in his Triple-A debut for Oklahoma City on Friday. Stone stuck out four, walked two, and hit two batters. Stone, the Dodgers' seventh-ranked prospect as per MLB Pipeline (and 81st-ranked prospect in all of MLB) has skyrocketed up prospect rankings over the past year. Stone owns an impressive 1.50 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 139 strikeouts over 102 1/3 innings pitched in 21 games (20 starts) over three minor league levels in 2022. Stone offers high strikeout upside and four-pitch selections, including an above-average fastball that tops out in the high 90s. He should be rostered in all dynasty formats and should be on the radar of redraft managers in 2023 as a potential late-round option.
