George Kirby Sharp In Loss Thursday
2 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher George Kirby took his second loss of the season Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels, but he performed well, allowing just two runs on six hits and a walk in six innings. He struck out six batters. The only mistake Kirby made was leaving a fastball down to Mike Trout in the third inning that Trout promptly deposited over the outfield fence for a two-run home run. Through eight starts, Kirby has a 3.56 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 41 strikeouts in 43 innings. He should be rostered in all keeper and dynasty formats, and is worth a look in good matchups for redraft.
