George Kirby Sharp In Return
2 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher George Kirby was sharp in his return from the minor leagues Tuesday night, allowing no runs on two hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out four batters and was in line for the win before the bullpen gave up the lead. Kirby was not in the minors because of any kind of poor performance, as he's recorded a 3.50 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 66 strikeouts in 69 1/3 innings this year, but the Mariners are clearly aware of managing his innings, which could be an issue for fantasy managers as the year progresses.
