George Kittle Commits Critical Penalty
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle caught four of seven targets for 36 yards in the Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Kittle was solid all-around once again as a cog in the running game but his longest grab went for just 12 yards. His most critical play will go down as a penalty on the stat sheet, as he was flagged for offensive pass interference on a deep reception in the closing seconds of the second quarter. The foul negated a potential lead for the Niners and a huge gain for Kittle. While he ceded aerial looks to breakout rookie Deebo Samuel down the stretch, Kittle’s ability to impact each game was indisputable. He’ll enter 2020 fantasy drafts as a top two TE1.
