5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle finally appeased fantasy players last week with his best performance (6/70/1). Off the schneid, Kittle’s unquestioned TE1 status resumes in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. While the Niners have been the league’s run-heaviest offense through four games, Kittle is the clear favorite of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Leading the team in all relevant receiving metrics, Kittle’s floor remains extremely high and the limited aerial opportunities have come at the expense of the wide receivers. The Rams’ tough rush defense and shaky ability to defend through the air could result in the Niners depending on Garoppolo more than normal on Sunday.
