George Kittle May Demolish Contract Market
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle could receive a new deal that may "destroy" the market for his position moving ahead, at least according to NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah. With a rumored annual salary of around $20 million per year for Kittle, the door could potentially be open for others to raise their own asking price, much like the current running back market after Christian McCaffrey inked a new deal with the Panthers this offseason. The 26-year-old is worth every penny as he finished the 2019 campaign with 85 catches for 1,053 yards and five touchdowns while also ranking ninth in the league in receptions per game with 6.1. He is expected to be the first or second tight end off the board in fantasy drafts for the 2020 season, so fantasy managers should plan accordingly.
