5 years agoWhile San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has been doing yeoman’s work for most of the year, he could be rewarded handsomely in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. Despite leading the team in all relevant receiving metrics, ranking second amongst NFL tight ends in target share (25.8 percent) and on pace for over 1,000 yards, Kittle has just one touchdown. Enter the Arizona Cardinals who have allowed a league-worst eight touchdowns to tight ends with primary coverage linebacker Jordan Hicks permitting a 93 percent catch rate. Even with the Niners run-heavy approach, Kittle is staring at a potential blow-up spot on Thursday Night Football.
