2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (groin) is officially listed as questionable for the Week 1 season opener against the Chicago Bears. Kittle injured his calf on Monday and hasn't practiced since, so he's clearly trending towards either missing the game entirely or being limited to kick off the season. Fantasy managers who were planning on rolling with Kittle in Week 1 now need to have a backup plan in place. The good news is we'll know early Sunday whether the 28-year-old is active. But he's shaping up as a risky low-end TE1/high-end TE2 this weekend. It remains to be seen who will be the best pass-catching option at the position in San Francisco if Kittle doesn't play.
