George Pickens Looking Good Early On
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver George Pickens has been impressive early in training camp. He turned an out pattern from quarterback Mitch Trubisky on the second play of team drills on Friday and turned it into a nearly 40-yard gain before being wrestled to the ground. Pickens showed the ability to get out of his cut and turn it upfield, which contradicted many critics who have said that he isn't the best route-runner. The 21-year-old second-rounder could make some noise in Pittsburgh's offense in his first NFL season behind Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool. Rookie Calvin Austin III has also looked good early on this summer. Pickens probably shouldn't be on the radar in standard-sized fantasy leagues, but he's an intriguing selection in dynasty/keeper leagues.
