3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (knee) has been activated from the injured list, SportsNet columnist Shi Davidi reported. The 31-year-old, who has been sidelined since August 14 with a Grade 1 left knee sprain, will pencil into Monday's lineup at designated hitter against Mike Mayers and the Los Angeles Angels. Despite playing a shortened season Springer has had a strong campaign overall, slashing .269/.362/.610 with 16 home runs, 35 RBI, two stolen bases, and 40 runs scored on 49 hits. His return to Toronto's lineup will be a boost for both the Blue Jays and for fantasy managers.--Chelena Goldman
