George Springer and Friends Give Harvey Another Dark Night
5 years agoWith the Astros already leading the Los Angeles Angels two to zero in the second inning, George Springer kicked off the runs parade against Angels starter Matt Harvey, hitting a 368-foot round-tripper to the opposite field on a center-cut Harvey fastball. Harvey would later leave the game after giving up six runs in five innings while Springer would leave the game with his fourth home run in as many games. Since returning from a hamstring injury on June 25th, Springer is slashing .286/.390/.486 and looks to continue his recent power surge against the Rangers this weekend in an all-Texas matchup.
