George Springer Dealing With A "Mild Ankle Sprain"
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer's ankle sprain that forced him to exit Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays is considered mild. According to Blue Jays manager Charles Montoya, the preliminary assessment is a "mild" ankle sprain for Springer. The 32-year-old won't be sent for any imaging and is considered day-to-day. He went 0-for-2 before leaving. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation, but Springer has avoided a significant injury. Raimel Tapia would see an uptick in playing time while Springer is sidelined.
