George Springer Departs Early In Visible Pain
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer left Sunday's game versus the Red Sox after five innings with what appears to be a back injury. Chris Sale struck him out in all three plate appearances as he was grimacing and favoring his back throughout the game. It's not a good sign for the Astros or fantasy owners as Springer is currently on an MVP pace with 17 homers and 42 RBI out of the leadoff spot. The team is saying it's lower back stiffness but look for an update on Springer after the game before setting weekly lineups this evening as an IL trip may be coming.
