4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (oblique, quad) has been diagnosed with a low-grade quad strain, according to Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic. Manager Charlie Montoyo said that Springer can still work out and do some baseball activities, but he will not return to the team during their homestand this weekend. It's a setback for Springer — who had felt tightness in his quadriceps while running as part of his rehabbing an oblique strain earlier this week — but it appears to be a minor one much to the relief of fantasy managers. Look for Springer to hopefully make his return in another week or two.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
