George Springer Exits Wednesday's Game Early After HBP
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (wrist) is out the rest of Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox after being hit by a pitch in the wrist area. The 32-year-old went 1-for-2 with an RBI before exiting. Bradley Zimmer replaced him in the game. The severity of Springer's injury is unclear, and he is considered day-to-day. Springer was off to a solid start, slashing .277/.327/.489 with two home runs and six RBI over 12 games in 2022. Zimmer would see an uptick in at-bats if Springer is forced to miss any games. Stay tuned.
