3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (knee) hopes to be activated for Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi. Springer ran sprints at high intensity before Sunday's game. The 31-year-old has been sidelined since August 14 due to a Grade 1 left knee sprain. He was in the midst of an 0-for-10 slump at the plate prior to the injury, but his return would be a boon to the Jays and to fantasy managers as he's had a strong, albeit brief, season overall. Through 49 games this year, he's slashed .269/.362/.610 with 16 home runs, 35 RBI and 40 runs.--Josh Friedman
