2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (elbow) won't suit up against the Rays on Tuesday evening. He suffered the injury last Thursday, missed Friday's game, and returned Saturday. However, he was out of the lineup again on Sunday and now misses his second consecutive contest. Springer is slashing an impressive .251/.330/.467 with 18 homers, 47 RBI, 35 walks, 72 strikeouts, and 10 stolen bases. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. will occupy the leadoff spot in his absence while Raimel Tapia patrols center field.
