George Springer Out Again Thursday
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Seattle Mariners. Springer will start on the bench for the second straight game, but there hasn't been any word that he's injured. He's hitting just .195 (16-for-82) with 15 strikeouts in 22 games over the last 28 days, so perhaps the Blue Jays just want to give him a break to clear his head. Overall, the 32-year-old is slashing .248/.331/.471 with an .802 OPS, 15 home runs, 38 RBI, 47 runs scored and eight stolen bases, and he remains a must-start in fantasy when he's on the field. Bradley Zimmer is starting in center field and is hitting ninth against Mariners left-hander Marco Gonzales on Thursday.
