6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer (left elbow contusion) is riding the pine Saturday after he took a pitch to his elbow on Friday evening. Springer exited Friday's game and went in for X-rays after getting hit, but thankfully the results came back negative. Today's benching was to be expected, as Springer seemed to be in a fair amount of pain after his at-bat, but he should just be considered day-to-day.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
