George Springer Out Of Lineup Friday
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (knee) is not in the lineup Friday after fouling a ball off his knee in Thursday's game against the New York Yankees. Springer has dealt with his fair share of injuries over the last few years, and although this doesn't sound like a serious injury, the Jays will likely take every precaution to ensure their star outfielder is healthy down the stretch. Springer is having a productive fantasy season, slashing .267/.343/.477 with 18 homers and 10 swipes. Expect the five-category production to continue when Springer gets back in the lineup, which could be as soon as Saturday. Whit Merrifield will take over Springer in centerfield tonight.
