George Springer Out On Thursday
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (forearm) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Boston Red Sox. Springer was hit by a pitch on Wednesday, but X-rays came back negative and he's just dealing with a bruised arm. The 32-year-old will take the day off on Thursday, but there's a good chance he'll be back in the lineup on Friday. Springer is off to a solid start for Toronto, going 13-for-47 with two home runs, six RBI, seven runs scored and one stolen base in his first 12 games. Fantasy managers will want to get him back into their lineups as soon as he returns to the field. Bradley Zimmer will start in center field and hit ninth on Thursday against Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck.
