4 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer will start and hit leadoff Thursday against the Rangers. It has been a frustrating offensive season for the slugger but is getting hot at the right time. Over his last 63 at-bats, Springer is slashing .286/.348/.587 with one triple, two doubles, five home runs, eight runs batted in and 15 runs scored over a 16-game span. The 30-year-old is looking more like himself but will need to solve why he has struggled so much at Minute Maid Park this season. The Astros play at home on Thursday and Springer is slashing only .179/.321/.328 through 20 home games this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
