4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (oblique) received another MRI on Monday and remains day-to-day with an oblique strain, according to Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic. Springer was diagnosed last week with a Grade 2 strain, which had come as a surprise as he reportedly had not been feeling any pain or severe symptoms. McGrath said that Springer's Opening Day status will likely come down to the wire as to whether he'll play or not. Springer is currently the 12th outfielder coming off the board with an ADP of 50, as he is set to spend his first season with Toronto this year. Springer has had a lackluster spring with a .240 average and .646 OPS in 10 games, as he comes off a 2020 campaign where he slashed .265/.359/.540 with 14 home runs in 51 games. Managers should remain cautious with Springer, and might want to consider looking at outfielders like Starling Marte (ADP 51) or Aaron Judge (ADP 54) instead.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
