6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer is still stuck in one of the longest hitting droughts of his career heading into Monday night's action against the A's. Springer has been brutal, slashing .091/.206/.109 over his last 55 at-bats with only one run batted in. In fact, he has driven in only nine runs over his last 123 at-bats and his average has dipped to .248 on the year. The biggest difference this season is his ineffectiveness against right-handed pitching. Springer in 2017 slashed .277/.347/.513 in 415 at-bats against righties but has a dismal .236/.325/.384 line against them this season. His slugging percentage right now is .425, which would be the lowest of his career if the season ended today. Springer should snap out of it at some point this season but fantasy owners should be a tad worried that this slump has lasted as long as it has.--Joey C - RotoBaller
