5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer is receiving a routine day of rest in Sunday's contest versus Ariel Jurado and the Texas Rangers with Jake Marisnick getting the nod in center. After missing a month's worth of action with a hamstring injury, Springer has yet to find his power groove since returning to the lineup at the end of June. He's slugged one homer in his 14 games played but is still hitting a respectable .276 in this span. It shouldn't take much longer for Springer to start returning to his MVP-caliber production and owners should expect a big second half from the Astros leadoff man. Look for him to return to the lineup Monday as the squad begins a four-game set on the road versus the Angels.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
