George Springer Returning To Blue Jays Lineup
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (quadriceps) will bat fifth and play center field in his return to the lineup after being activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. He will be facing Miami Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara. Springer has been limited to just four major league games in his first season with the Blue Jays due to multiple injuries. He has three hits with two home runs and three RBI in his 15 at-bats. While fantasy managers are surely excited for the former World Series MVP to return for Toronto, you may want to temper your expectations if you throw him immediately back into your starting lineups since he's been out for so long. Randal Grichuk, who had been handling center field in Springer's absence, stands to lose the most playing time with Springer now back in the fold.
