2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (elbow) is back in the starting lineup on Thursday against Minnesota Twins right-hander Sonny Gray, serving as the designated hitter while manning his usual leadoff spot in the batting order. Springer will return to action after missing four of the team's last five games with a lingering elbow injury. While the Blue Jays are easing him back in as the DH, the 32-year-old should be returned to all fantasy lineups in single-year leagues. In just six games played since the All-Star break, Springer has gone 7-for-26 (.269) with a homer, five RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base. Overall, his line stands at .251/.330/.467 with 18 home runs, 47 RBI, 58 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 334 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
