4 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays scratched outfielder George Springer on Tuesday due to a mild abdominal tightness. The move was described as precautionary and he was still able to complete a full workout. After seven seasons with the Houston Astros, Springer signed a six-year, $150-million contract with the Blue Jays during the offseason. He's expected to hit near the top of the order and play center field for his new club. Springer is currently 2-for-8 this spring with a stolen base. The injury is not expected to sideline the veteran outfielder for long. Both Jonathan Davis and Josh Palacios could see additional playing time in their bids to make the club.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
