5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer will hit leadoff Saturday against the Royals. The Astros slugger has six home runs over his last eight games and is slugging .768 over his last 56 at-bats. Springer also cranked out his 35th home run of the season on Friday, which is a new career-high. Springer has missed time this season with a variety of small injuries but still is posting big-time power numbers and has an outside chance at 100 runs batted in on the season.
