George Springer Still Out Against Rays
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (elbow) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. It will be the fourth time that Springer has sat out in the team's last five games, leaving some to wonder if his elbow injury is much more serious than the team is letting on. For now, fantasy managers have to consider him day-to-day while keeping him on their benches. Raimel Tapia is back in center field and is hitting ninth on Wednesday against Rays left-hander Jalen Beeks. Tapia is swinging the bat well this year, but he's not as strong against lefties while hitting from the left side of the plate. He's gone 10-for-38 (.263) against southpaws in 2022 with only one of his five home runs.
