George Springer Struggling Early Against Right-Handers
7 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer heads into the final week of April looking to get his season clicking. After a slow start to begin the year, he has come on lately and takes a six-game hitting streak heading into Tuesday night's matchup against the Angels. Part of the reason for Springer's less than stellar numbers can be traced to his .227/.329/.348 slash line through 76 at-bats against right-handers. Springer hit .277 with 25 of his 34 home runs against right-handers in 2017 and his leadoff home runs set the tone en route to a World Series championship. Springer's numbers against righties should certainly improve moving forward, but fantasy owners may want to temper expectations Tuesday against Angels phenom starter Shohei Ohtani.
