4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (quad) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday. It sounds like he'll play five innings in that contest before being re-evaluated. Manager Charlie Montoyo said Monday that he's unsure how long Springer is going to be sidelined. He mentioned "it could take one game, it could take five, it could take 10. We're going to communicate with him every day to see how he feels." Honestly, Springer hasn't played in six weeks, so he'll likely need a handful of games before he's ready to return to the big league roster.
