2 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez (thumb) will make his scheduled start on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers after he threw a successful bullpen session over the weekend. A cut on his thumb robbed him of his fastball control in a loss to the Dodgers last Wednesday in which he allowed five runs and five hits in just 3 1/3 innings. The 27-year-old right-hander will be one to avoid against the Dodgers explosive offense on Tuesday. After making the All-Star team for the first time last year, Marquez has struggled in 2022, going 4-6 with a 5.89 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, 70 strikeouts and 32 walks in 84 innings over 15 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
