6 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison (groin) has been ruled out for the Week 9 game against the New England Patriots. Allison suffered a groin injury in practice on Tuesday. Rookie wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling will see more snaps in Allison’s absence. The rookie wide receiver has gradually gained a larger role in Green Bay’s offense and should see significant action in Week 9. Valdes-Scantling can be viewed as a solid flex option for Week 9. Allison has missed a number of games this year due to injury. The former undrafted free agent has been a reliable player when healthy but lacks upside that would make him a solid fantasy asset going forward.--Tyger McGuiggan
