5 years agoHouston Astros starter Gerrit Cole will start Game 1 of the World Series Tuesday night against the Nationals. Cole has been an unstoppable force for months now, going 19-0 since May 22. That includes going 3-0 in the postseason, posting a 0.40 ERA with 32 strikeouts in only 22 2/3 innings pitched. Cole is holding opponents to a .132 batting average in the playoffs and has been fantastic at Minute Maid Park this season. In 17 home starts in the regular season, the impending free agent went 12-2 with a 2.63 ERA and a 0.79 WHIP. It might be the World Series but Cole is unbeatable until proven otherwise.--Joey C - RotoBaller
