6 years agoHouston Astros starter Gerrit Cole will take the ball Friday night against the Angels looking for his 15th win of the season. Cole (14-5) hasn't pitched more than six innings in four of his last eight starts but carries a 3.24 September ERA into the game. Cole has been a fantastic acquisition this season, posting career-best numbers in WHIP (1.04), K/9 (12.49) and strikeouts (260). This could be the last outing of the season where the Astros allow Cole to throw 90 or more pitches before the playoffs begin. The right-hander is an excellent play in DFS and all fantasy formats for Friday.--Joey C - RotoBaller
