5 years agoThe best pitcher in baseball dominated the Tampa Bay Rays tonight at home, striking out at least one batter in every inning and allowing just four hits. He struck out Ji-Man Choi and Brandon Lowe three times a piece, with D'Arnaud, Diaz, and Garcia each K'ing twice. Cole took the K/9 regular-season record away from Randy Johnson, finishing with 13.5 strikeouts per nine innings pitched. It looks like he turns into nails in the playoffs and the Astros have a solidified ace for years to come.--RotoBaller
