3 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double, and five RBI in Wednesday's win over the Minnesota Twins. Stanton was an unstoppable force at the plate, as he doubled in his first trip to the plate, then slugged three-run and two-run long balls. Each of his hits registered exit velocities of at least 108 MPH, including 118.3 MPH on his two-bagger. After a 2-for-24 stretch in his return from the injured list, Stanton has broken out of the slump in a big way, going 5-for-10 with three extra-base hits over his last two contests.--Tim Capurso
