4 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton had another monster day at the plate in a win over the Astros. Stanton extended his hitting streak to 11 games- and notched his sixth multi-hit game in his last seven contests on Wednesday. The slugger clobbered a misplaced fastball from Luis Garcia 435 feet into left-center at an exit velocity of 107.2 MPH for a two-run shot. Stanton is now hitting .314 with eight homers and continues to be a legitimate weapon in the heart of the Yankee order. He'll look to make it 12 straight games with a hit on Thursday against righty Lance McCullers Jr.--Tim Capurso
