Giancarlo Stanton Exits Early With Calf Tightness
3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (calf) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles due to right calf tightness. The 32-year-old went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before exiting. Estevan Florial replaced Stanton in the seventh inning. He will undergo further evaluation and remains day-to-day. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation as more information should be available after the game. Stanton is slashing .285/.339/.523 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI, and 15 runs scored over 166 plate appearances in 2022. With Joey Gallo already on the COVID-19 IL, Florial should see an uptick in playing time while Stanton is sidelined. Stay tuned for further updates.
